Rue means “red” in Irish. Beautiful Rue was shipped to at least 9 auctions in absolutely horrendous condition. Seeing her in the kill pen absolutely broke our hearts and we just had to help her. Our amazing you tube family started donating, saying prayers, and sending emails with words of support and encouragment.

Within 24 hours of seeing her video, we were on our way to get her. She was skin and bones and I was just praying that she would make the ride home. We put a blanket on her and filled the trailer with soft hay for her to stand on. We said prayers for her and set off for home.

This was Rues last ride in a trailer. She was given a warm blanket, hay, fresh water, and shelter for the night. In the morning we had an emergency vet come. Our biggest fears were confirmed, Rues heart was failing her and she was suffering. There was absolutely nothing we could do to save her.

Rue was in her late twenties, she had just a few teeth in the back, her heart was failing. As the vet helped her cross the rainbow bridge - I talked to her about how proud I was of her! She made it home - She fought another day! The very last thing she knew of this world was kindness.
