Kindness comes in all different forms. Sometimes the best thing that we can do for a horse is to give an end to suffering.

Beautiful Soul was in a kill pen. His condition was absolutely horrific. We brought him home and he was loved and cared for, if only for a short time. Our vet came out immediately and did his vitals. Unfortunately, his organs were failing and we made the decision to have him humanely euthanized.

Soul was incredibly gentle and kind. He was with us for such a short time but he immediately trusted all of us. He absolutely adored children.

Who knows what would have happened if he hadn’t come here. He could have died in a kill pen or on a truck heading to slaughter. Soul passed away with arms around his neck and a full belly - He had a name and he was loved.
